Celebrating five years of success

John Buddle Work Village celebrated its fifth anniversary in style with a party for its tenants and everyone involved with the venue.

The work village, which is run by charitable trust Reviving the Heart of the West End (RHWE), has helped more than 35 businesses since opening by providing good quality, well serviced accommodation allowing tenants to focus on getting their businesses underway without having to manage a building at the same time.

Their second property, Buddle House, which shares the same site and is designed for businesses that outgrow the managed workspace environment and need office space but are not ready to invest in a long term letting or purchase a property.

Alexandra Johnson, manager of John Buddle Work Village and Buddle House, said: “Our centre is ideal for new and growing businesses. With our excellent location and the obvious cost benefits, companies can focus on their business without worrying. It makes such a difference and there’s a real buzz to the place.

“It is great to see that the £2.9m funding package which Reviving the Heart of the West End secured for the work village is still making such a difference five years on.”

Speakers at the event, which took place in the work village’s foyer included Roy Stanley, chair of the Tanfield Group and newly appointed chair of Business Link as well as Paul Callaghan, chairman of the Leighton Group and chair of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum and Jonathan Wade, managing director of Neuro Partners, a successful tenant at the Work Village.
